Created by Chris & Trevor Goode in memory of their son Jonathon. The orchard has 64 trees, including apple, pear, greengage, plum and crab apple.
For many years folk and their families from the community have gathered to harvest apples from the orchard or their gardens to press and make juice at the common. 
Local Wharfedale Wazegoose Morris dancers also come to the orchard every year to banish any evil spirits and call forth the fertility of the trees for the coming spring. This centuries old folk tradition is followed by a community celebration of spiced apple juice and a feast.
Hedgerows are also planted by volunteers to create vital  habitats, providing food, shelter and safe spaces for insects and wildlife to thrive.
